Erin Moran, who played the character of Joanie Cunningham in the popular ’70s American Sitcom Happy Days has died, at the age of 56. TMZ.com reports that the authorities at Indiana got a call on Saturday at 4 pm, from someone who was reporting an “unresponsive female”. By the time the authorities reached the spot, the actress was already dead.
As of the time of going to press, the authorities gave no information as to how Erin passed away, but a source told Dailymail.com that she died of a suspected heroin overdose. After her hit shows, including a Happy Days spinoff, Joanie Loves Chachi ended, the actress struggled with drinking issues, causing her to run out of money and end up at a trailer park, since she was asked to leave the house by her husband, Scott Fleishmann.
