John Cleese has criticised British actor Daniel Craig’s portrayal of fictional English spy James Bond, saying he’s too short to play the character. “He’s simply not tall enough, I’m sorry,” John said on The Morning Show, adding, “Because this little Welsh bandy-legged guy that they’ve got at the moment, he’s simply not tall enough, I’m sorry.”
John had earlier played Q, Bond’s quartermaster when Pierce Brosnan played the character, and said of Pierce, “I thought he was a wonderful Bond. I thought he was the best Bond since (Sean) Connery.”
