And Adele didn’t hold back as she revealed that she would be avoiding Rihanna’s gig in Wembley this June as it takes place on the day before she’s due to headline Glastonbury. But instead of avoiding the concert in order to be well-rested the night before her Pyramid Stage debut, the 27-year-old singer confessed that she was concerned that attending the show would passively get her accidentally “stoned” and damage her vocal chords.
Chatting with her thousands of fans she said, “I love her. I’m thinking of going to Coventry to watch Rihanna because she’s playing Wembley the day before I play Glastonbury, and if I go to that, I’ll have no voice, I know it. All that weed in the air — I’ll get stoned.” She added, “But I love her, honestly, all of that new album I love. I gotta try and see her.”
The Hello hitmaker revealed that she would be making her Glastonbury debut whilst on stage at the O2 during her six-night residency, as she confessed that she’d struggled to keep the news secret.
