Mark Wahlberg is like a brother to his 'Mile 22' director Peter Berg
Mumbai: The trailer of Mile 22 is out and is creating quite a buzz in the industry. The film marks the fourth collaboration between director Peter Berg and leading man, Mark Wahlberg. The pair have resulted in best of the films Patriots Day, Deepwater Horizon, and Oscar-nominated Lone Survivor.
In describing his four-film collaboration, Peter Berg, who doesn’t have a brother of his own, considers their friendship a brotherhood. He said “We get along tremendously well. My family gets along well with his family and my friends get along with his friends. We just have a good time.”
Peter also cites Wahlberg’s famous work ethic as an inspiration. He said “Mark’s work ethic is probably better than mine, and I think mine’s pretty intense! He’s a very hard worker. I trust him to be there for me, and I think the feeling is mutual.”
Mile 22 is a story of an elite American intelligence officer who with the help of the top-secret tactical command unit, tries to smuggle a mysterious police officer with sensitive information out of a foreign country.
The film is slated to release on 24th August, 2018.
