Rapper XXXTentacion shot dead in Florida

The shooting was reported at 3:57 pm at Deerfield Beach Motorsports Shop, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Rapper XXXTentacion was shot on Monday afternoon when he was leaving a motorcycle dealership in Florida, reports People.com. Police believe it was a “possible robbery”.

The shooting was reported at 3:57 pm at Deerfield Beach Motorsports Shop, according to the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Reportedly XXXTentacion was approached by “two armed suspects” at least one of who shot at him while he was leaving the dealership.

The 20-year-old was pronounced dead at a local hospital by the Sheriff’s office one and a half hour after the shooting.

An onlooker at the crime scene shared a video on Twitter of a man who looks like XXXTentacion, sitting motionless in a car while someone checked his pulse.

Born as Jahseh Onfroy, XXXTentacion usually did not give interviews but stayed in touch with his fans through social media. An undated video of him has surfaced where he spoke about how he wanted to influence the lives of youngsters through his music, if and when he dies.

The video almost seemed like a prediction of his own death, in which he said, “If I’m going to die or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least five million kids happy or they found some sort of answers or resolve in my life regardless of the negative around my name, regardless of the bad things people say to me (sic).”

He will be remembered for his hits like Changes, Sad and Moonlight.
