Katy Perry’s latest album Witness is No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. This is the third time that the singer is on top of the chart. The 32-year-old’s previous No. 1 albums include 2013’s Prism and 2010’s Teenage Dream, according to JustJared.com. Katy earned 1,80,000 equivalent album units in the week ending June 15 — 1,62,000 in traditional album sales — according to Nielsen Music.
Meanwhile, Perry recently beat the likes of Justin Bieber (96.8 million followers) and Barack Obama (91 million followers) to become the first person to reach 100 million followers on Twitter. The website congratulated Perry by tweeting, “Today, we #witness history. Congratulations @katyperry, the first to reach 100 million followers! #LoveKaty (sic).” Perry replied back with the tweet, “Thank you, @Twitter, for always giving me an opportunity to have a voice! #LoveKaty (sic).”
