DJ Khaled offered a touching tribute to his buddy Nipsey Hussel on Saturday Night Live as he performed their new collaboration Higher featuring Nipsey, who was shot dead in South Los Angeles two months ago. At the season 44 finale, the 43-year-old entertainer took a moment to remember the late rapper as he announced, “Long live Nipsey Hussle. The marathon continues.”
Khaled, sporting a Nipsey Hussle shirt, was joined by John Legend and the together rocked the stage by performing the music video which was released earlier this week. During his live performance, Khaled was joined by Meek Mill, Sza, J Balvin, Big Sean, Lil’ Wayne, Jeremih and Lil Baby who together performed a medley of their tracks of Khaled‘s new album Father of Asahd, the proceedings of which, according to Khaled’s Instagram announcement, would all go to Nipsey’s two kids.
