A lot of concert-goers use their smartphones to photograph performers and inevitably annoy people around them. And many artists are apparently not cool with it.
Adele recently embarrassed a member of her audience by calling her onstage for blocking the view of others with her phone. And now, Alicia Keys adopted a no-cell phone policy at her concerts.
Concert-goers can carry their phones to her concerts, but after getting inside they will have to place their phones in a Yondr case. According to Today, these cases lock your phone and can be opened by tapping the case on a metal disk found in the concert’s lobby, thus ensuring that guests excuse themselves if they need to use their phones.
Apart from Alicia Keys, comedians Dave Chappelle and Louis C.K. will also use Yondr cases at their shows, reported refinery29.com.
