Actress Jennifer Lawrence opened up about the humiliating and degrading experience she had in the early days of her career. During a star-studded event honouring Elle’s Women in Hollywood, Jennifer delivered a moving speech about her experience as a woman in the movie industry, reports People.com. The Hunger Games actress said, “When I was much younger and starting out, I was told by producers of a film to lose 15 pounds in two weeks. During this time, a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me. We stood side-by-side with only tape covering our privates.”
Jennifer said the uncomfortable moment left her feeling trapped. “After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet,” she revealed. She added that another producer was, however, unhappy with the demand of her losing weight. “He said he didn’t know why everyone thought I was so fat, he thought I was “perfectly f***able.” JLaw broke down as she told the audience, “In a perfect world, every human being should have the power to be treated with respect because they’re human.”
