Scotty McCreery weds longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal in North Carolina

Scotty McCreery, American Idol winner and his girlfriend Gabi Dugal tied the knot in North Carolina on Saturday with over 200 of their friends and family in attendance, reports People.com. Gabi and Scotty have been dating for over six years now, and Scotty popped the question last September.

“We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays. I support her dreams and she supports mine,” said the This Is It singer.

The newlyweds will be heading to Tahiti for a romantic honeymoon getaway. Scotty still lives with three of his guy friends, while Gabi stays with her best friend. The couple will be moving in together once they return to the US.
