Shakira is set to headline the Super Bowl 2020 halftime show on February 2 — which is also her 43rd birthday. And in a recent interview to Zane Lowe on his Apple Music radio show, she opened up about how stoked she is about her upcoming Super Bowl performance with Jennifer Lopez.
Revealing that it has been a personal bucket list item, she told Zane that the performance will be a major spectacle. “It’s gonna be on my birthday! I’ve always wanted to perform at the Super Bowl. I think it’s the holy grail of the entertainment industry,” she told Zane.
Talking about how she hadn’t hesitated when JAY-Z, who’s producing the show, approached her asking if she wanted to be involved, she said she thought that it would be an event to celebrate Latin culture and the importance of women in the industry, reports People.
