Actor Gerard Butler cancelled his press tour of Hunter Killer to Saudi Arabia, reports JustJared.com.
The 48-year old actor announced the cancellation at a news conference on Monday afternoon at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.
Gerard was scheduled to travel to the country and planned to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, but changed his plans in light of journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s disappearance.
“It didn’t feel like a good time to be getting involved in that. It would have felt incredibly insensitive to go to Saudi Arabia,” Gerard said during the press
conference.
The self-exiled Saudi journalist, who was living in the US, was last spotted entering the Saudi consulate in Turkey on October 2.
