Maybe we knew Miley Cyrus’ latest song would be about love or heartache. Because it is. According to People, almost a week after Miley and Liam Hemsworth confirmed they were separated after seven months of marriage, the Wrecking Ball singer released a new song titled Slide Away.
And the song starts off as, “Once upon it was paradise, once upon a time I was paralyzed / I think I’m gonna miss these harbor lights / But it’s time to let it go. Once upon a time it was made for us, woke up one day and it turned to dust. Baby, we were found, but now we’re lost / So it’s time to let it go.”
Word has it that Miley and Liam’s relationship was unhealthy and that though Miley really fought to make her marriage work and even wanted to attend couple’s therapy, sources close to Miley says their separation “is for the best” right now.
