Friends creators confirm the show won’t have a reboot.
Friends Co-creator and executive producer of the show, Marta Kauffman, didn’t mince words when she delivered the news during the Tribeca TV Festival (via Deadline), says Justjared.
“We will not be doing a reunion show, we will not be doing a reboot. The show was about that time in life when friends are your family,” she said. And her reasons are simple. “It’s not going to beat what we did,” she said, adding, “We did the show we wanted to do. We got it right, and we put a bow on it.”

But fans can catch 12 fan-favourite episodes of the series at the movies on September 23, 28 and October 2. Each night will feature four unique and newly remastered episodes.
