Diane Keaton is loved by many and the Life Time Achievement Award that she recently won speaks of her brilliance. But, she did not shy away from saying that she doesn’t consider her co-stars her life-long pals!
On Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday, she reviewed the list of attendees of the award ceremony. She said, “Some are important, you know? Like Meryl Streep!” When Kimmel asked if she was not her friend, she said, “I love her. But I don’t see her very often. She doesn’t call. But I love her!” About Reese Witherspoon, she said, “You know, I met Reese when she was 14 and I directed her in a TV movie. She was just a kid. There was no question (she’d be a movie star). Great looking. Great talent. But no, not a friend.” In what looked like a moment of realisation, Keaton said, “I don’t really have any friends!”
