Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are currently taking a break from their on-again relationship and rumors have been stirring that it’s because of her mother.
But a source close to the couple says that her mom is not the reason, despite her publicly admitting that she doesn’t approve of the rekindled romance.
“They’re not on a break because of her relationship with her mom. They have their own issues and are always on and off,” the source told People.com. “She wouldn’t base her relationship off of what her mom thinks.”
“They’ve been having disagreements, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they’re back together in a week,” the source added.
Selena has headed to Texas to spent time with her family, and E! News sources say that they decided to take a break after an argument over his recent birthday celebration. The source explains, “She wanted to have a quiet birthday celebration with Justin and he wanted to go big and involve all of his church friends. They had a disagreement that didn’t end well.”
