Singer Mandy Moore has joined the list of women, who have called singer and music producer Ryan Adams abusive and controlling. Mandy, who was married to Ryan for six years, before parting ways in 2016, says that she has stopped meeting new people because of him.
According to The New York Times, Mandy claimed that Ryan’s behaviour affected her music in a way that she stopped making new music for almost 10 years after meeting him.
“His controlling behavior essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time — my entire mid-to-late 20s,” Mandy said.
Recently, seven women claimed that Ryan had used his position as a music producer to contact budding artists and offer work. He would eventually use his power to take sexual favours from them.
