The newborn McLaurin Clement Williams is fondly called ‘Mickey’ by his gushing parents. ‘McLaurin’ was Robin Williams’ middle name.
The newest member of William’s family has come five years after the legendary actor’s demise. Robin Williams was 63 when he passed away in August 2014.
As reported by Eonline the baby’s announcement was made even more special when Zak’s younger sister Zelda Williams took the family photos.
Zak has in the past revealed his regrets of not being able to interact with his father during tough times. Opening up about his loss in Dave Itzkoff’s Biography Robin, he said: “I’m kicking myself for not visiting him during that time. I think that was a very lonely period for him. In retrospect, I feel like I should have been there, spending time with him. Because someone who needs support was not getting the support he needed.”
The 36-year-old has now become a known advocate for mental health awareness.
