Hilary Clinton is the muse behind Miley's single, inspiration

In a recent interview with a magazine, Miley Cyrus revealed that while her reflective single Inspired draws from her close relationship with her father, another source of inspiration came from Hillary Clinton. It is quite a well-known fact that the singer-songwriter supported Clinton in the 2016 elections, and she now says that she had also written a letter to the presidential candidate after the election.

“I wrote it maybe a week before I went and campaigned for her, and she sent me a letter about it... Because, you remember when at all the debates she would bring up her dad? Her dad obviously played a very impactful part in her life, and my dad played one in mine,” she elaborated.
