Val Kilmer struggles to speak

Just a few days after he was rumoured to be suffering from cancer, Val Kilmer found it difficult to speak during a public appearance due to a swollen tongue. People magazine reported that Val said to the crowd, “I went into rehearsals down in Florida and started having trouble with my speech. Obviously I'm still recovering. My tongue swelled up and I cancelled the tour. As I’m recovering I’m showing this,”

Interestingly, Val had denied comments made by Michael Douglas, who has said that Val was “dealing with exactly what I had, and things don’t look too good for him.” Douglas suffered from throat cancer. And, he too had a swelling beneath his tongue which was a tumour. However, he openly spoke about his swollen tongue.
