Kevin Hart out of danger

10 days after violent car crash, Kevin Hart released from hospital

Kevin Hart is now out of the hospital, where he’d been admitted for a back surgery following his car crash on September 1. Kevin was in the passenger seat of his car when friend Jared Black, who was driving, veered off Mulholland Highway in Malibu, California, and landed in a ditch. While Rebecca Broxterman, Jared’s fiancée and the second passenger in the vehicle, suffered “minor” injuries, Jared had to be airlifted from the scene to a local hospital. His current condition is still unknown.

Though Kevin, who is believed to have suffered three spinal fractures, which were successfully fused during the surgical procedure, hasn’t spoken of it publicly, his close friend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson shared an update on his progress during his appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son,” Johnson joked during the interview. “And you know what? These things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat. That’s real love.” According to Eonline, Kevin, who is “expected to have a full recovery very soon”, continues his treatment at a live-in rehabilitation facility, where he’s receiving “intense” physical therapy.
