James Woods stirs up controversy
When James Woods decided to take a dig at Armie Hammer’s film Call Me By Your Name, he probably didn’t expect it to backfire. The 49-year-old actor-director tweeted on Monday about the film where Armie, as a professor, falls in love with a 17-year-old male student, “As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency. #NAMBLA.” He was referring to the North American Man/Boy Love Association an organisation that advocates for the decriminalisation of men in consenting relationships with underage boys, reports E! News.
Armie was quick to respond. He wrote, “Didn’t you date a 19 year old when you were 60.......?”
The matter didn’t end there, as soon after, Amber Tamblyn revealed a shocking news. She tweeted, “James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. “I’m 16” I said. “Even better” he said.” At the time of the incident, James Woods was 52 years old.
