Singer and actor Chris Brown partook in the national anthem protest as he refused to stand while Tank sang America’s song during a charity basket ball game on Sunday. The game was also commemorative of the 9/11 attacks.
The reason for the silent protest was started by NFL player Colin Kaepernick — to show support for people of colour who are being oppressed in the US and against police brutality. Chris Brown was seen sitting with his friends even as Tank urged people who would otherwise protest to stand in honour of the 3,000 people who lost their lives during the deadly terror attacks.
