Stand up comedy might just look like someone coming up with a string of jokes with an undying effort to leave the audience in splits. But the art of stand up needs years to master and there is only a handful out of every aspirant stand up comic who finally make it big on the stage. Other than a quality set of jokes, interacting well with the audience, proper delivery, expressions, choice of words, non-offensive jokes- these all come into play in the construction of a successful gig.
Ari Mannis is an example of breaking stereotypes and proving that this art can be a legit career option. Growing up in San Diego in California, being a stand up comic was the last thing he aspired to be. Yet Ari has left his mark on this art. You name any mainstream media, Ari has made his presence felt.
