When James Woods tweeted an aggressive and insensitive statement about a family of a 10 year-old at a pride parade in California, Neil Patrck Harris would have none of it, and spoke out against the senior actor.
James, who appeared in Family Guy recently, had posted a picture of a family in which the parents held signs that read, “I love my gender creative son,” and “My son wears dresses and makeup… get over it,” and tweeted, “This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realises what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”
Neil decided not to stay quiet, E! News reported, as he tweeted, “Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr Woods. I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”
The Human Rights Campaign reacted to the How I Met Your Mother star’s comment by tweeting, “Thank you @ActuallyNPH for taking a stand against this vulgar and hateful statement. All children should be accepted and loved for who they are.
