Gabrielle Union sues BET over 'Being Mary Jane'
Gabrielle is suing BET for $1 million in damages.
Actress Gabrielle union is reportedly suing the American television network BET, claiming that the network is making her do more episodes for her show Being Mary Jane than was originally agreed upon — for lesser pay.
According to TMZ.com, BET has asked for 20 episodes for the show’s fourth season instead of splitting them into two separate seasons like they usually do. Meaning she will be paid only the amount agreed upon for the fourth season — $1,50,000 — instead of her fifth season salary of $1,65,000.
Gabrielle is suing BET for $1 million in damages, and wants her contract to specify the oral agreement she reached with the network for a maximum of 13 episodes per season.
