Katy Price’s mother Amy is talking on live television about how she is battling lung cancer. In an interview with The Daily Mirror, the mother revealed that she turned down her daughter’s lung. The 64-year-old refused to have the operation, although it could save her life, because Katie is her ‘priority’ and she doesn’t want to put the TV star at risk.
Recalling her conversation with Katie, she said, “Children are my priority and when I was diagnosed they were my first thought. Katie told me, ‘Mum, I’m going to give you my lung.’ I said, ‘No, you’re not going to do that. You’ve got to think if, by any chance, it went wrong, who’s going to look after your kids? You’ve got to think about your children, not me, and what’s going to happen to them.’”
On Friday, Katie paid tribute to her mother Amy, who she hailed as a “strong woman”, in an emotional Instagram post. She captioned it, “A little #throwback here’s to strong women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them xx (sic).”
