FKA Twigs: Being famous is weird'
Tahliah Barnett, known by the stage name FKA Twigs, posed for the cover of Elle magazine’s August issue, and opened up about her work, fans and being in the public eye. Twigs, 28, said, “People talk too much. Everyone’s always chatting and not delivering. I’m the opposite. I like to just deliver my work.”
She also said that she refuses to use the word fan: “It feels “derogative” I’d rather call them people who like my music or people interested in me as an artiste. They don’t influence what I make. But, they have a role in us all coming together and creating something genuine,” she revealed. On constantly being in the public eye: “Being in the public eye is so weird. People want to shame you. It’s not a celebration of a talent,” Twigs said, according to contactmusic.com. The Good to Love hitmaker, who is dating Robert Pattinson, says people focus more on her rather than her music.
