Nick Hissom opens up about his journey

Hissom recently spoke to GQ magazine about his musical journey and being an artist in today’s day and age.

British singer Nick Hissom recently spoke to GQ magazine about his musical journey and being an artist in today’s day and age. “My generation is a product of social media and clickbait. But my fans aren’t looking for someone to hit them with shock factor anymore, they want to be recognized on an emotional level. They want authenticity,” Nick told GQ.

When asked what music means to him, the He Ain’t Better singer said, “Music is special to me because it grounds me in the present; and I want to make people feel good in the same way. To be in the moment, without inhibitions.”

He added, “Recording an album is a journey, at some point you realise you have created something that has a life of it’s own. You can decide where you start, but you never know where you will end up.”
