Zendaya alleges grocery clerk of racism

Actress and singer Zendaya claims that she and her friend were victims of a racist attack at the checkout counter of a grocery store. The 20-year-old star put up a Snapchat story about how the incident unfolded when she visited a Vons supermarket earlier this week, to buy a $400 gift card and was treated badly by the employee, alleging that the treatment was fuelled by racism, reported Mashable.com.
The actress said, “The lady that was helping us — I don’t think she was a huge fan of our skin tone. In fact I recall her not trying to help us at all, saying that we couldn’t buy the gift cards and then throwing my wallet.”
