Gone are the days when young people would look for one stable job and do it for the rest of their lives. The millennial mantra is to grow at your personal pace and not to let the idea of stability constrict you. Today’s young professionals are not afraid to quit a well-paying job for one that calls out to them. Letting go of a stable job to create a new start up from scratch, putting their entire life’s income at risk and and working relentlessly to build a business venture isno longer a big deal. Today, the motivated, smart and career-driven youth are not afraid of working extra hard, taking up an extra job or even turning a hobby into work. Surfer, photographer, actor, producer, business owner Hans Molenkamp is one such multitasker whose story can be the perfect inspiration for this unstoppable young generation.
Unlike the previous generation, today most of the younger people are not satisfied with merely making a living and having job satisfaction. Be it the desire for fame, riches, or simply personal growth, this generation is willing to struggle and put in the hard work it requires. What they are more afraid of is being in a rut, following conventions. 41-year-old Hans Molenkamp always knew in his heart that he was never meant to be stagnant for the sake of stability. This is what always pushed him to learn more and do more, to take his hobbies to the next level and never stop growing as a businessman.
A Californianby birth, Molenkamp has always been young and dynamic at heart.
He studied Political Science from San Diego State University and California State University San Marcos. Hans then decided to break away from his conventional career path and took up a job as manager/buyer at the SurfRide Board Shop. He chose to learn more by working in a string of great jobs. He worked in different roles such as graphics designer, shoe and apparel designer, photographer and marketing director in several companies. These vast job experiences helped him prepare for his next venture as an entrepreneur and CEO. Hans might have reached the zenith of designations, but that does not stop him from breaking his barriers. He has successfully dabbled in sports and fitnessa and also become a social media influencer, actor and producer.
After conquering the world of business Hans Molenkamp was not satisfied and wanted to branch into something absolutely new, and that is when the world of entertainment opened its arms to this ambitious entrepreneur. In 2009 he produced the action documentary, ‘The Mind of the Demon’. It was aimed at a niche audience and was well-received. His philosophy in life is to always be open to new challenges and opportunities. With such an immensely positive attitude its no wonder that success has fallen into his hands.
If you are seeking success then it is important to give up your fears, as they only restrict you from achieving greatness. There will be struggle, the work will be hard and stability elusive, but once you power through the hindrances the taste of success will be sweeter than ever....
