E! News reports that Seinfeld was mid-interview on the red carpet when Kesha ran up to him.

American comedian Jerry Seinfeld and Sleazy singer Kesha had an awkward moment at The David Lynch Foundation’s National Night of Laughter and Song on Monday night. E! News reports that Seinfeld was mid-interview on the red carpet when Kesha ran up to him and said, “I’m Kesha! I love you so much. Can I give you a hug?” Seinfeld looked taken back and said, “No, thanks.” Kesha then requested saying, “Please?”
After he denied once again by putting his hands up, Kesha gave it another try, saying, “A little one?” The comedian sternly said, “Yeah, no thanks.”
Apparently, Seinfeld had no idea who Kesha was. After the host at the event explained it was Kesha, he said, “Okay! Well, I wish her the best.”
