Bella Heathcote to play Christian Gray's ex-lover
Bella will join an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Kim Basinger.
Australian actress Bella Heathcote has been cast opposite Jamie Dornan in the Fifty Shades of Grey sequel Fifty Shades Darker in the role of Leila Williams.
Having been the subject of much speculation for some time, Deadline Hollywood confirmed that the role of Christian Grey’s jilted ex-lover will be played by the 28-year-old Melbourne-born star.
Bella, who broke into H’wood with her role in Tim Burton’s 2012 horror comedy Dark Shadows, will join an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Kim Basinger.
She will also join existing cast members Jamie as Christian Grey, Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, and Rita Ora as Christian’s sister Mia for the film that is set for release in 2017.
