Singer Miley Cyrus has stirred the hornet’s nest by suggesting that singer Britney Spears was kept in the mental health facility against her will.

Britney checked into a mental health facility earlier in April, to “relax” and get over her father’s illness. However, during a concert Miley tweaked the lyrics of her song Party in the U.S.A, reports Tmz.com.
While singing the track, she tweaked the lyrics and said, “Free Britney” a couple of times. While the fans continued to sing the normal lyrics, she hinted at being the brain behind the Free Britney Campaign.
Although, Britney checked out of the facility earlier this month, her fans believe that she was being held captive in the mental health facility by the people who run her conservatorship.
The conservatorship is a legal programme which takes over one’s personal and professional wellbeing when an individual is unable to balance life. Britney took it up in 2008.
