The singer who has been fighting a bitter battle with her estranged husband has got some respite for now.

Former Spice Girl Mel B, who had filed for divorce from her husband Stephen Belafonte on March 20, has finally won the sole custody of their five-year-old daughter. Mel had cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind her decision.
The singer accused Belafonte of being violent and abusive during their 10 years of marriage. Mel claimed that Belafonte had also threatened to leak sex tapes of her.
According to The Guardian.com, Mel now has got a temporary restraining order against Belafonte, after the judge’s order was issued on Monday. Mel is also asking the judge to prevent her former husband from releasing their sex tapes. A hearing on the temporary restraining order is set to take place on April 24.
