Following the demise of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, several Bollywood stars took to social media to express their grief. Ali, who was 74, was battling Parkinson’s disease for 32 years. Despite his debilitating illness, the boxing legend travelled the world to rapturous receptions even after his once-bellowing voice was muted by the Parkinson’s disease. He was left to communicate with a wink or a weak smile.

Earlier this week he had respiratory problems that eventually led to his demise. Here’s what tinsel-town had to say following the loss of an idol:

Shahid Kapoor: Rip Ali. You taught us to fight in the face of adversity #legend

Rishi Kapoor: RIP. Muhammad Ali.Was at a function with him in Bahrain think early 80s. He was unwell and he called me “pretty boy”

Randeep Hooda: “Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” #RIPMuhammadAli #TheGreatest doesn’t pass on, he lives on
