Camila Cabello revealed the song list for her upcoming debut album recently, and many fans were surprised. Only one of her previous tracks made it to the album.
The Havana singer explained the reason behind it on Beats 1’s World Record podcast.
JustJared.com reports that she said, “I think when you listen to it, it’s super cohesive and the way that the track list is it’s super cohesive sonically,” Camila says. “I really, really wanted it to be that way, you know.”
“I feel like it’s important for me as a new artist and especially people hearing Havana and more people kind of knowing who I am; I think that it’s really important that the message is like super consistent,” she added, explaining that while the earlier songs she released were her then, they don’t reflect who she is now.
