Reiterating the Demi Lovato love

Demi Lovato reacts to backlash following trip to Israel

Demi Lovato may not have seen it coming but her recent trip to Israel had riled up a whole lot of fans. They criticised her for promoting Israel amid the ongoing Israeli–Palestinian conflict.

For her part, says www.justjared.com, the Tell Me You Love Me singer reacted to the backlash through an Instagram Story.

“I accepted a free trip to Israel in exchange for a few posts. No one told me there would be anything wrong with going or that I could possibly be offending anyone. With that being said, I’m sorry if I’ve hurt or offended anyone, that was not my intention. This was meant to be a spiritual experience for me, NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT. Now I realize it hurt people and for that I’m sorry, (sic)” she went on to say.

But through her apologies, Demi did reiterate the right to remain authentic. “I’d rather get in trouble for being authentic to myself than staying quiet to please other people. I love my fans, all of them, from all over the world (sic),” she added.
