19 Entertainment, the company which produces American Idol, claims that Phillip Phillips owes them a reported $1 million and that he’s been holding out on them for years! The company also manages Phillips and other winners of the show. They filed a suit against Phillips for not paying up for their managerial services. Earlier in 2015, Phillips filed a complaint with the Labor Commission – asking them to get him out of the contract with 19, claiming that it violated California law. The dispute was not settled back then. And now, 19 filed a case for bankruptcy and is suing Phillip. Phillip’s lawyer claims that 19’s trying to block the singer’s fight to get out of the contract, reported tmz.com.
