Singer Kelly Clarkson, who hosted the 2019 Billboard Music Awards ceremony, flew to Los Angeles immediately after the Las Vegas show to get a medical surgery.
Clarkson had to undergo an appendix removal procedure and was already in a lot of pain when she began hosting. However, she did not want to step back from her work commitments and decided that the show must go on, reports eonline.com.
Her representative has confirmed that Clarkson is fine now and healing. Kelly too, took to Twitter and informed her fans about it.
She tweeted, “Not gonna lie. I may or may not have broken down in tears after the show from pain. BUT thanks 2 all the amazing people @ Cedars-Sinai I flew home directly after the event, nailed the surgery early this morning, & feeling awesome now! Bye bye appendix (sic).”
