Actor David Hasselhoff and his Welsh girlfriend Hayley Roberts got engaged as the Baywatch star popped the question during a beachside picnic in Malibu.
The two had first met when the 62-year-old Hasselhoff was a judge on the Television show Britian’s Got Talent. In a conversation with Hello!, the Hollywood star said, “I had a saying, ‘You don’t get married because you want to live with someone, you get married because you can't live without them”.
He further went on to add, “I felt that way. I knew that I was really unhappy without her. I waited to propose because I thought I was too old for her.” Recalling the exact moment they got engaged, Roberts, 36, says they both ended up in tears. She added, “I genuinely had no idea he was going to do that. I'm still so overwhelmed.”
