Revivals and remakes may be a hot TV trend, but Kevin Williamson, creator of the popular American teen series Dawson’s Creek, says a revival is not on the cards.
According to Eonline, Kevin was at the 2019 Television Critics Association (TCA) summer press tour promoting his CBS All Access series Tell Me a Story, when he talked about the revival.
“We keep talking about it, but no, as of now, it’s not in the pipeline. We kind of ended it. The last episode was five years in the future. We put a nice button to it. Jen died. What are we going to do? We’ve talked about it, but until we can find a reason to do it…what are you going to do?” said Kevin, admitting also that they do have ideas but none that have proven compelling enough. Later, Kevin told reporters that he was looking forward to working with the actors from his previous shows, including Katie Holmes, James Van Der Beer and Joshua Jackson.
