Pitting Nicki Minaj against best friend Ariana Grande is not the best idea. The Chun-Li rapper shut down claims of internet trolls that she would be delaying her next studio album Queen by a week to avoid competition with Ariana Grande’s album release Sweetener, reports People.com.
Minaj replied “I love this woman. Can’t wait for the fans to benefit from all the hard work on both ends. We love your passion. You guys will be VERY happy. Trust. That’s all I’ll say (sic),” to a tweet by Ariana grande where the latter said she “laughed” at the assumption by trolls.
Queen was set originally set to drop on June 15, but was pushed back two months as the Nicki wanted to perfect the album and obtain rights to sample singer and song-writer Tracy Chapman in one of her songs.
