On Barbados Independence Day on Thursday, the government of Barbados renamed the St. Michael street, where Rihanna spent her childhood, from Westbury New Road to Rihanna Drive, People.com reported. The sign on the street is already up. At the official renaming ceremony on Thursday, the Shut Up and Drive singer looked beautiful as she wore a bold canary yellow shirt-style mini-dress along with matching stiletto heels and a small purse.
RiRi shared a photo of the sign on Instagram and captioned it, “on any block.” Several fans congratulated her on social media. A fan commented, “You deserve this so much! I can only imagine how proud everyone is of you! A role model to say the least.”
