Singer Madonna lashes out at DaBaby

DaBaby’s HIV/AIDs and homophobic remarks during Miami’s Rolling Loud Festival brings upon him the pop queen’s wrath

During his set onstage at the music fest, the 29-year-old Suge rapper had said, “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cell phone lighter up. Ladies, if your p****** smell like water, put your cell phone lighter up. Fellas, if you ain’t sucking d**k in the parking lot, put your cell phone lighter up.”

The homophobic and sexist remarks caught the attention of one of the prominent voices — including Elton John, who is gay and a long-time HIV activist, as well as singer Madonna.

On her Instagram post, the True Blue singer posted the video in which DaBaby can be seen articulating his remarks into a microphone, as he walks casually on the stage in a white pair of trousers. Madonna left a long caption against the video, which said, “A message to DaBaby — if you’re going to make hateful remarks to the LGBTQ+ community about HIV/AIDS then know your facts: After decades of hard won scientific research — there are now life saving medicines available to children born with HIV through blood transfusions, dirty needles or exchange of bodily fluids. These new ARV’s can keep a person with AIDS alive for the rest of their lives!!! AID’s is not transmitted by standing next to someone in a crowd. I want to put my cell phone lighter up and pray for your ignorance, No one dies of AIDS in 2 or 3 weeks anymore. Thank God ??.”
