It was announced earlier that, Legendary and Universal Pictures, set a summer 2017 release for the sequel of the monster brawl film, Pacific Rim. But now, the much-awaited movie has a new release date. The sequel is set to release on Feb 23, 2018.
Steven S. DeKnight may take over the directing reins from Guillermo del Toro. Star Wars’ John Boyega is the first actor to board the movie; he will play the son of the character played by Idris Elba in the first movie. Thomas Tull and Mary Parent are producing the movie along with Del Toro, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
