The Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington opened up about sexism faced by male actors in the film industry and said that he is annoyed by the constant questions he faces about his looks, reported Dailymail.co.uk.
He said that sexism male actors face is equally ‘demeaning’ as female actors. He said that he often felt typecast-ed as ‘a head of hair or a set of looks’ and felt uncomfortable when he was asked to film topless scenes.
“There’s a sexism that happens towards men. There’s definitely a sexism in our industry that happens towards women, and there is towards men as well. At some points during photo-shoots when I’m asked to strip down, I felt that. If I felt I was being employed just for my looks, I’d stop acting,” the 29-year-old star stated.
