After singer Frank Ocean’s announcement that he would be boycotting the Grammy awards this year, sources are claiming that Justin Bieber, Drake and Kanye West will all be skipping the ceremony as well. According to TMZ.com, Bieber — who has four nominations this year, doesn’t think the awards are relevant or representative of younger artistes.
Drake (eight nominations), meanwhile, will be on tour in Europe during the ceremony, while Kanye (eight nominations) has reportedly never won a Grammy when pitted against a white singer or artiste. Ocean himself had said he would not be attending the awards ceremony to protest their lack of diversity, especially regarding young, black artistes.
