Exclusive: Nikhil Siddhartha Set for Hindi Debut with ‘The India House’

Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film will mark Nikhil’s entry into Bollywood, where he will be seen delivering dialogues in Hindi for the first time

After delivering hits like Swamy Ra Ra, Arjun Suravaram, and Karthikeya 2, actor Nikhil Siddhartha is set to make his Hindi film debut with the ambitious bilingual project The India House. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, the film will mark Nikhil’s entry into Bollywood, where he will be seen delivering dialogues in Hindi for the first time.

“Nikhil joins the elite league of Telugu stars like Prabhas and Ram Charan who successfully transitioned to Hindi cinema after creating a strong base in Tollywood,” reveals a source close to the project. His earlier film Karthikeya 2, which explored the mythological mystery around Lord Krishna’s ornaments, found widespread success in Hindi-speaking markets—setting the stage for this straight Hindi venture.
The India House, a period drama set in 1905 during the pre-Independence era, is helmed by Ram Vamsi Krishna and stars Saiee Manjrekar and veteran actor Anupam Kher alongside Nikhil. The story unfolds in London, capturing a passionate love story set against the backdrop of political unrest centered around the iconic India House—a hub for Indian revolutionaries in Britain.
When contacted, producer Abhishek Agarwal confirmed that the film is being made as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual, explaining, “The theme is universal, combining love and patriotism—emotions that resonate across India.” When asked about reports of the film’s budget crossing ₹85 crore, he remained tight-lipped but hinted, “It will be one of the costliest films from Tollywood with pan-India appeal. I believe in telling untold stories, not formulaic commercial films.”
In a significant development, the project has also onboarded reigning star Ram Charan. “Teaming up with Ram Charan happened very organically,” Agarwal shared. “During casual conversations with mutual friends, I mentioned this period drama. Ram Charan expressed genuine interest. After hearing a detailed narration from director Ram Vamsi Krishna, he was floored and came on board. His involvement has added immense value to this prestigious project.”
