Exclusive: Mohan Babu To Play Muslim Don In The Paradise?
Mohan Babu is all set to return to his menacing best in the upcoming action adventure The Paradise, starring Nani.

If reliable sources are to be believed, veteran actor Mohan Babu is all set to return to his menacing best in the upcoming action adventure The Paradise, starring Nani. “Mohan Babu will be essaying the role of a fiery Muslim don who operates from Hyderabad’s Old City,” reveals a source. “The senior actor is also going in for a complete makeover to fit the powerful character,” the source adds.
No stranger to villainy, Mohan Babu has delivered several scintillating dark roles in the past and even impressed audiences as the angry Lord Yama in S. S. Rajamouli’s social fantasy Yamadonga. During the 1970s and 1980s, he made a mark with menacing roles in films like Alluri Seetharamaraju, Sardar Paparayudu (alongside Krishna and NTR), Khaidi Kalidasu, and Khaidi No. 786, carving a unique niche for himself in Tollywood.
Later, he successfully reinvented himself as a hero with films like Alludu Garu, delivering blockbusters such as Assembly Rowdy and Pedarayudu in the 1990s, eventually becoming a bankable star and establishing his own banner in Telugu cinema, the source points out.
On the other hand, Nani, who previously cast Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar as the antagonist in HIT 3, and Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko in Dasara, has now chosen to lock horns with Telugu cinema’s veteran in The Paradise, which is being directed by Srikanth Odela of Dasara fame, the source concludes.
